It’s no secret; I’m an AVID Disney fan. For this reason, when I came across DW insider, I knew I’d have to give it a thorough review.

I grew up in Southern California, so I went to Disneyland a lot as a child with my brothers and sisters. Now, as a grown woman with my own family living in Florida, I take my children to Disney World at least three or four times a year. We love the park, but since we go so often, I was looking for ways I could save my family money and get more out of my Disney World adventures.

I found dwinsider.com and thought I’d give it a try. Here’s my honest review of Disney World Insider. Hopefully I can show you the benefits and downsides of the site!

Website Information Selection

The site’s selection of items related to Disney World was huge. I was able to find articles about tickets, lodging, attractions, dining, trip planning, shopping, and even pets! (That last one was perfect for us because we have a dog that likes to join us on our vacations!)

Even right on the front page, I saw links to save me money on Disney merchandise like beach towels and swimsuits (perfect for summer). There were also links to save money at restaurants in the same area as Disney World.

Let’s be honest—when you visit a place as often as my family does, you sometimes want a little more variety in your food choices. DW Insider helped my find great deals for my family at restaurants just around the park.

Something else Beth does that my family really enjoyed was providing sample itineraries to help us get the most out of our Disney World experience. We’d visited the park lots of times before I found DW Insider, but those sample itineraries helped us find even more secrets at the park that my family never even knew existed! Definitely worth checking out for that reason alone.

The Guide

While the information on the website itself is great, I think the best part about it was the downloadable e-book guide. Here’s an example of how the guide saved me money:

Normally, my family stays at the Disney 5-star resort when we’d visit Disney World. Our 10-day trips would cost us over $3,000 just in hotel rooms alone! When we used Beth Haworth’s Disney guide, though, we only spent a little over $1,000. That’s $2,000 in savings, meaning the guide has already paid for itself ten times over!

Yeah, the e-book guide cost a little bit of money, but my family had already saved much more than we paid even before we entered the park!

Downsides

Perhaps the only thing I didn’t like about DWinsider.com or the Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide was that there was almost too much content.

I know Disney World is a huge place and Beth Haworth has done a great job on showing us Disney secrets, but if you try to take it all in at once, you might feel overwhelmed like I did. What I should have done was look at one section at a time, digesting the whole thing over a few days instead of trying to read it all in one sitting. And since it’s a guide, not a novel, you’re mean to refer back to it over and over as you plan your trip and visit the park.

Other than that, I really loved everything about the guide. I saved money, had a magical time with my kids, and found new and exciting secrets about Disney World I’d never known existed!

My Verdict

Definitely check out DW Insider!

My review of DW Insider is that it will save you lots of money, help you have more fun, and just make that Disney vacation much more exciting. And Beth Haworth’s Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide is definitely worth the small cost for the e-book.
